Where to Stay in Druten During the Four Days Marches
Druten is located further west and serves primarily as an alternative when things get crowded. You gain in terms of availability, but sacrifice proximity. Choose this option deliberately only when there are no other options closer by.
Distance to Nijmegen/the route
Distance to the Wedren: about 26 km. By car, it takes about 30 minutes. By bike, allow about 75 minutes. By public transportation, allow 45 minutes by bus. Druten does not have its own train station. Tip: an alternative when it’s crowded.
Type of stay in this area
Limited hotel and campground options; staying with a private host may be a good solution. Consider Beuningen, Wijchen, or Nijmegen as well for a shorter travel time.
Practical info
No train station; bus ride takes about 45 minutes, drive takes about 30 minutes. Be sure to allow plenty of extra time in the morning. This is a Plan B location, not a quick-start location.
